The youth of our country seem to be shying away from pure sciences.
The last five to six years has seen a steady decline of admissions
of students into basic science streams at the graduate and at postgraduate
levels. This has been a matter of concern that has been expressed
by several authorities. In view of criticality of this issue the
programme organizing committee of Karnataka Haridasa Scientific
Research Center (KHSRC) has decided to organize a three day national
seminar on the 13th, 14th and 15th July- 07, to explore this phenomenon
in detail. All the stakeholders viz. teachers, students, parents
and those who offer placements both in private and public sectors
are participating in the seminar.
Those interested
in participation and/or presenting papers for discussion may send
their contribution to:
The Secretary,
Karnataka Haridasa Scientific Research Centre
# 49, Vijayaranga, MRCR, 17th cross
